JERRY STATON — Senior Instructor Detective Jerry Staton is a highly decorated retired police officer with over 25 years of service. His experience includes twelve years of patrol assignments, four years as training coordinator for the Emergency Response Team, and eight years as an entry team member on SWAT. This experience has given Detective Staton the hands-on training necessary to instruct in a wide range of police related tactical topics. Spending his last three years of service as the senior instructor in the Learned Skills Unit, he was responsible for teaching firearms, combative skills, and driving to all new recruits as well as continuing education for active police officers.
