HANS MARRERO — Commander of Training Division
Hans Marrero has a well-established and well-respected reputation for being a premier self-defense and hand to hand combat instructor in the United States.  For over four years GySgt. (Ret.) Marrero served jointly as Chief Instructor of Hand-to-Hand Combat for the U.S. Marine Corps at Paris Island.  He is considered one of the leading experts in Close Quarter Combat in the world.  He is also well known throughout international law enforcement agencies due to his extensive work in anti-terrorism tactics instruction during his highly decorated career as a U.S. Marine which includes Special Operations Groups.

Marrero possesses Black Belts in five different disciplines of the Martial Arts including: Shorinji-Kempo (7th degree), Kyo Kushin Kai-Kan (6th degree), Aikido, Matsukazi-Ryu (Jujitsu), and Kickboxing. He is a former Golden Glove Champion. He was recently inducted into the Black Belt Martial Arts Hall of Fame in November 2000 and named "International Instructor of the Year."
